Rudhramadevi dubbed Tamil[6] version will be released throughout Tamil Nadu by Sri Thenandal Films on 16 October 2015.[7] The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja.[8] Upon release, the film received positive reviews, with critics praising the director's story telling ability, narration, background score, and Anushka Shetty's performance in the titular role, the film became the fifth highest open grossing Indian film of 2015.[9][10][11] The film has grossed thirty two crores worldwide in the opening weekend.[12][13]
